WIN95/Internet Explorer 3 Set Up
1. Click on the Globe/magnifying glass.
2. Internet Connection Wizard window opens. Get connected Click "NEXT"
3. Select the 2nd option manual connection and Click "NEXT"
4. Internet Setup Wizard then Click "NEXT"
5. Window opens that is titled "HOW TO CONNECT" Which method do you want to use to connect to the Internet? Select "Connect using my phone line" Then click the "NEXT" Button.
6. Internet Mail Windows Messaging select (yes).
7. Installing files ( may need to insert Windows disk)
8. Service Provider Information- Cibola Internet Services
9. A window titled "Phone Number" will open and ask you to enter the phone number to dial to connect top your Internet service provider. 505-285-5988 into the phone number field. Bring up terminal window after dialing (NO). Click the "NEXT" Button
10. A WINDOW TITLED "Username ____________and Password________" will open. Enter your username and password in the appropriate fields. THIS IS CASE SENSATIVE and MUST BE EXACT!! Click the "NEXT" Button.
11. IP ADDRESS - select My Internet service provider automatically assigns me one. Click the "NEXT" button/
12. A window titled "DNS SERVER" will open. Enter 0.0.0.0 (all zeros). Click the "NEXT" Button.
13. A window titled "INTERNET MAIL" will open. Check use Internet Mail settings:
14. Your Email address: __________ Internet mail server: mail.7cities.net Click "NEXT". Completed Configuration FINISH
15. Double-click on MY COMPUTER then on CONTROL PANEL then on INTERNET.
16. Go to the Connections Tab
Under the Proxy Server Section, place a checkmark in the "Connect through proxy server" box. Then click on the "settings" box.
Under the Servers section, type in the following in the HTTP, FTP and GOPHER lines ONLY!
Address of proxy to use: cache.7cities.net port: 3128
Nothing should be entered in the Secure or Socks lines. No other blocks need to be checked click OK then apply.
17. Go to the Navigation Tab
Change the Address Line to: http://www.7cities.net
Click Apply
18. Go to the Programs Tab and ensure that internet Mail is in the mail line Click "OK"
19. Close the Control Panel and my Computer
20. You can now log-on to the Internet to compete the final step of Mail Configuration. Double-click on the globe/magnifying glass.
21. "Connect to" window comes up type in password click on connect.
22. After you are connected click on the mail icon and select read mail.
23. Browse for folder comes on. Click OK.
24. Internet Mail Configuration starts Click "NEXT"

25. In the next window that opens enter your Name as you would like to appear when people receive mail from you. Example (John Smith). In the next window enter Email Address. Enter your email address in the format of username@7cities.net. Click "NEXT"
26. In the field that says "INCOMING MAIL POP3 server" enter mail.7cities.net
In the field that says "OUTGOING MAIL SMTPserver" enter mail.7cities.net Click the "NEXT" button.
27. You will get 2 error messages. The first one says that the specified pop 3 server does not appear to be a valid server do you want to use it anyway? Click yes. The second error message will say the specified SMTP server does not appear to be a valid server. Do you want to use it anyway? Click yes.
28. A window will open up asking you for your e-mail account: (logon name). In the account name field enter your user name. In the password field enter your password. Both of the fields are case sensitive. The password field will shadow back to your screen asterisks instead of the password that you enter. This is to protect your password from those that should not see it. Click "NEXT"
29. I use a modem to access my e-mail, use following dial-up networking connection select "Cibola Internet Services". Click "NEXT"
30. Finish
You have completed the setup for Internet and E-mail access through Cibola Internet Services.
